Leeds and the Thousand Islands Archives

The Leeds and the Thousand Islands Archives acquires, preserves, promotes and makes available the historical record of the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands. Our collections include letters, diaries, municipal documents, maps, land grants, drawings, postcards, photographs, and artefacts.

We are happy to accept materials offered for donation that fulfill our mandate and do not duplicate items already in the collection. In some cases we will scan (digitize) items and return the originals to you. The archivist would love to arrange a meeting to evaluate your potential donations.

The archives are currently located in a large trailer just east of our usual home in the former Front of Escott Township Hall and Springfield House in Escott. Restoration of these two buildings began in May and we are now hoping to be moving back in January 2026.
