The Leeds and 1000 Islands Historical Society was formed in 1992 to promote an awareness of the township's history through research, records, picture collections, and artefacts, and to provide ways of making these available to the public. A portion of the society's collection is in the LTI Archives, and each year there are seven presentations free to the public and two newsletters published. Back issues of the newsletter are available on-line through the website or hard copies may be purchased.

Meetings / Presentations: 7:30 pm on the 3rd Monday of the month from March - May and September - November at the Lansdowne Community Building, 1 Jessie Street, Lansdowne.

For event posters see LCHN homepage:  EVENTS or the Society's website.
